About This Product
Accurate fuel level measurement is a fundamental requirement of fuel storage management. Whether you are operating a bulk storage depot, a fuel distribution network or a simple on-site tank, knowing exactly how much fuel you have — and being able to verify electronic gauge readings manually — is both a practical and a regulatory necessity.
Kolor Kut Gasoline Gauging Paste provides a simple, reliable and low-cost method for manual tank gauging using a standard dipstick or gauging rod. The paste is applied in a thin, even coat to the lower section of the rod. When the rod is lowered into the tank and withdrawn, the paste changes colour at the precise point where it contacted fuel — giving you a clear, readable line that corresponds directly to the fuel depth in the tank.
Unlike electronic level sensors, a gauging paste reading requires no calibration, no batteries and no maintenance. It is the definitive manual verification method trusted by fuel operators worldwide, and is routinely used as a cross-check against electronic gauging systems to detect sensor drift or failure.
Note that this product is a gauging paste, designed to measure fuel levels. It is not a water detection product. For water contamination checks, see our Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste or Modified Water Finding Paste. Many operators use both a gauging paste and a water finding paste as part of their routine tank inspection procedure.
