About This Product
Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste is the original, field-proven solution for detecting water contamination at the bottom of fuel storage tanks. First developed for the petroleum and chemical industries, it has become the go-to tool for fuel quality checks in aviation, marine operations, bulk storage and fleet management worldwide.
Water in fuel is a critical hazard. It promotes microbial growth, causes corrosion, leads to fuel-water emulsions and — in aviation — can cause engine failure. Regular tank bottom checks with Kolor Kut paste are a simple, low-cost measure that prevents costly damage and safety incidents.
The paste is applied thinly to a dipstick or gauging rod, which is then lowered to the tank bottom. On contact with water, the paste undergoes an immediate, sharp colour change at the precise water interface. The depth of the colour change on the rod tells you exactly how much water is present. No laboratory, no equipment, no training required.
